Oklahomans can now receive support from Fema for the forest fires from March 14 to 21, and the officers ask the recipients to issue their money carefully and legally. Fema Fonds have strict guidelines. If they are not followed, one could mean that money repay or lose future justification.
Here are six things to know whether your family receives support:
1. Spend Fema only for what is in the letter of registration
Each recipient receives a letter in which it is explained what kind of support he can receive. This could include things such as rental support, repairs at home or childcare costs. You can find the details for each recipient in the registration letter.
2. Frequent types of help include
- House repairs (including sewage pitch and water systems)
- Rental support for temporary apartments
- Repairs or replacement of damaged vehicle
- Increased childcare costs
- Medical costs for disaster -related injuries from our own pocket
- Essential educational materials (computers, school books, supplies)
- Moving and storage costs.
3. Available in seven counties
Fema support is available in the counties Cleveland, Creek, Lincoln, Logan, Oklahoma, Pawnee and Payne
4. Deposit for the application
Applications for Fema support for the forest fires from March 14 to 21 must be submitted by Tuesday, July 22nd. Visit the Fema.gov/disaster/4866 to apply or check the authorization.
5. Incorrect use of Fema Fund
Fema funds can only be used for certain needs. For example, the financing of repairs at home cannot be used for providers, food or other expenses that do not directly related to the repair at home.
Traveling, entertainment and expenses for non-Disaster are not an appropriate use of FEMA financial means.
6. Use it properly or lose it finally
According to Fema, anyone who incorrectly uses the funds financed with the mark can be asked to repay this money. You can also lose authorization for further disaster aid.
According to Fema, recipients should document how the money is spent and saves income for the next three years.
