Regardless of whether you have a refreshment from scratch or give your electricity from scratch, you have probably noticed how complicated a renovation can be. The big decisions – such as layout and devices – and even the smaller ones, such as drawers and joint color, are all important. And while the function should always be amazing, style is also important.
This year, interior designers are pressing some trends to renovate kitchen renovation, the shape and functions merge in fresh, thoughtful way. These are not just fashion symptoms – they are intelligent, livable design ideas that you can add to your shopping list.
Microcoons

One of the most functional (and most entertaining) kitchen renovation trends this year is microconation.
“Instead of the traditional work triangle, contemporary layouts are now focusing on task zones such as committed smoothie stations, breakfast centers or coffee corners,” says Elana Castle, architect, interior designer and founder of Studio E.
These personalized pockets not only rationalize how they use the space, but also offer the possibility of introducing outstanding materials such as shiny tiles, deeply ground stone or sculptural lighting. “If you have a short budget, this is an economic opportunity to include striking, high -quality materials in a small area,” adds Castle.
Adequate storage

When it comes to storing kitchens, “just away” does not cut completely cut. The organization focuses on and more homeowners ask for a considered memory in its renovation.
It is what Hormuz Batliboi, the main architect of the Batliboi Studio, calls “organized disorder”. In other words, it is the things you use every day – such as cutlery, spices and knives – accessible and neatly accessible with a little design intention.
Batliboi recommends starting with an inventory of everything you use or need, and have your designer card set up each of these locations.
Natural materials and earth tones

Almost every interior design is true: white kitchens are on the way outside. So if you renovate, you should exclude this color palette. This shift is partly inspired by Pantone's color of the year, Mokka Mousse, and partly inspired by a broader desire for rooms that feel warm and full of personality.
“We see that customers prefer more natural, earthy tones in their selection,” says Batliboi. Think of the warm wooden cabinet fronts instead of painted drawers and plenty of natural stones like quartzite instead of technical quartz for worktops. It is a movement to materials that feel more, comforting and connected to nature.
Curious to try it? If a kitchen tinted made of wood feels too much, Batliboi suggests mixing it. “Lacquered or glass fruits can help to make the appearance easier while hugging the natural warmth below,” he says.
Fat colors
On the way of purely white kitchens, bold color has a big moment. Deep Forest Greens, rich navy and atmospheric Burgundy or charcoals make their way to the cupboards and bring a feeling of depth, drama and personality with them.
“I think it reflects a wider appetite for self -expression in the apartment,” says Emilijia Hofenaite, interior designer in the stylesmiths. These saturated colors also combine beautifully with warm metallic surfaces such as brushed brass or bronze.
If you renovate, Hopenaite suggests that you use brave color on your lower cupboards or in the kitchen island and balance the look with neutral stone bench -tops or lighter upper materials. This will result in the general aesthetic feeling and remain timeless.
Decorative hardware

Hardware was once only a functional necessity – now it's like jewelry for the kitchen.
“Instead of specifying standard standard buttons or linear handles, I love to integrate it, unusual pulls – leather, metal or handmade ceramic – for small but strong visual effects,” says Castle.
And the best thing about it? You don't have to get involved in greater renovation so that it works. Try to search Etsy for manual options, or enter your local hardware store to get an unexpected find that adds exactly the right amount of charm.
And while we deal with metal, the rules have changed: mixing metals is no longer a no one. Designers include unexpected combinations such as brushed tin with warm copper. “I love the contrast between oil -sunk bronze, which has a classic or rustic look, and the loop of stainless steel,” adds Castle.

The customer -specific reach with plaster, wood or brave metals quickly become a design statement in kitchens.
“You don't have to spend any assets for this trend,” says Castle. “I recommend improving a standard extractor by painting the overload in a bold or tonal color.” It is an easy way to bring a large style to the kitchen without a renovation being too big.
Curves

Did you consider curves? Curved worktops, rounded corners and sculptural panel fronts bring a gentle elegance into the kitchen.
“They not only alleviate the look, they also create a feeling of river and elegance,” says Batliboi. “Smaller details such as tamboured, reeded or REMG wood profiles replace flat or shaker panels.”
To try it yourself, you should add a rounded corner of your island to your island for your next renovation. “It is a subtle change that makes a noticeable difference,” says Batliboi. If you don't change your layout, exchange the flat cabinet fronts with a curved or detailed profile.
