May 2016: The police were called to El Moussa and Haack's house.
Us Weekly reported that the Orange County police were called to El Moussa and Haack's house on May 23, 2016 in response to a “possibly suicidal man with a weapon”.
According to reports, the police's eyewitnesses said that they ran El Moussa “from his back door, jumping over his back fence and going north to the hiking trails of the Chino Hills State Park.”
A witness said Haack followed him and “cried and trembled”. One of Haack's friends was at home at the time and told the police that she saw a pistol snapped before he went.
In “Flip Your Life,” said El Moussa that he left her home “after a particularly heated confrontation with Christina” and took a pistol with him if he saw wild animals. He also said in the book that he had a hidden wearing license for the firearm.
El Moussa also wrote in “Flip Your Life” that Haack called the police and they took him home in handcuffs after having tracked him down via a helicopter according to their “protocol”.
He added that the incident marked the end of his marriage with Haack.
“And that was the last time that we were together as a family: with Christina the entrance went down, cried and I sit in handcuffs there and wondered: 'What is going on in all over the world?'” He wrote in his book.
