Peter Hoagland, long-time industry-PR professional, passes

Peter Hoagland, a professional veteran of the consumer electronics industry and a respected PR professional, recently died at the age of 73.

Hoagland was known throughout the smart home industry through his work with companies such as KEF, Rowound and the Lenbrook family of brands (NAD, Bluesound, PSB speakers). He left his role in PR four years ago based on a diagnosis of a glioblastoma and fought against the disease while he continued to enjoy life with his family and friends.

During his career, Hoagland worked with the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), today's Consumer Technology Association (CTA), and was a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PrSA).

In addition to his passion for the home electronics industry, Hoagland was active in his local community in Virginia and he was passionate about food, sports and music. Hoagland combines all of his passions and would be at its best in the industry functions at which he could talk about industry, baseball and music.

Hoagland is survived by his wife Peggy, his beloved cats Alfie and Hedda; His brother William (Susan), his sister -in -law Joan, his nieces and nephews Brad (Kim), Tiffany, Susan, Jim (Sarah), David (Kim) and big NON Kayla (Kenan), Faith, Isabelle (Diego), Salaia and Charlotte .

The Hoagland family points out that instead of a memorial service, a celebration of Peters Life in Warrenton, Virginia, will take place at a later date.

In honor of his legacy, the family asks that contributions are made instead of flowers:
