George Clarke shared his heartache with the fans after one of the guests had died tragically in his new home renovation series after filming.
The 50-year-old moderator and architect of the Home series building made his debut on Channel 4 on Wednesday.
In the series, Clarke will meet people who long for themselves to return to their old houses after years ago.
The nostalgic guests follow when they deal with ambitious renovation work to transform their memories into dream homes.
The debut episode on Wednesday met with Clarke with the young couple Chris and Ellie, who renovated the bungalow of Chris' grandparents in the idyllic Ribble Valley by Lancashire.
Although the couple was forced to tear down the property and start again, it was determined to move in by Christmas.

Their haste was caused by the heartbreaking unveiling that Chris suffered below four C levelAncer.
He and Ellie were able to courageously complete the build in good time, but the audience had a hammer strike when a dark message was passed on at the end of the show on Wednesday.
In a photo tribute, it was explained that Chris died tragically shortly after the project and that the shooting was completed.
Shortly afterwards, Clarke repeated the tribute on his own Instagram page and wrote: “Thank you very much, so much with all my heart that I had allowed myself to be part of her beautiful story of“ building at home ”. So that they could allow me and the cameras in their lives through the most difficult times, it was simply incredible.
“I will always appreciate the times I had with both of you when we followed her trip” returning home “. There were many tears, but my word also had a lot of laughter on the way.
