Qualified homeowners of North Liberty and Johnson at or under 80% of the middle income in the area are asked to apply for grants of approx. 15,000 US dollars for certain home projects such as oven, roof, siding, window replacement and electrical or sanitary improvements.
This program is one of the rehabilitation programs occupied by owners, which are offered as the main residence in the East Central Iowa Council of Government for Low to Medium Income owners who live as the main residence.
These grants are financed by the Federal Home Loan Bank, Johnson County and Housing Trust Fund by Johnson County and stand for qualified homeowners for:
- Roof and gutter repairs
- Exchange of doors, windows and siding
- Repairs for veranda, stairs and deck to fix the deterioration
- Drainage or fundamental repair
- Electrical or sanitary systems
Ownership must be the main residence of the applicant and the manufacturing houses can be justified. The applicants aged 65 and over, households with children or those with a disability.
