The sign over the impressively decorated old iron doors announces “GM Free Zone”. Welcome to Altidore Castle, where history hits modern ideas. This is the home of the Emmet family, their last name is reminiscent of a revolution that Ireland cramped a few centuries ago. However, this is also a working farm on which animals are collected in accordance with the current organic school heads.
Thomas Emmet, our guideline to this airy place in a south -facing slope via Newtownmount Kennedy, is very aware that it is a tradition that touches a little deeply in Irish consciousness. Our national tradition has a special place in the Pantheon of Heroes for Robert Emmet.
