Kate Kimble, Public Information Director of the LCSO, wrote in an e -mail that the investigators believe that an old battery caused the fire in a lighting element. This was determined by clear weather conditions, several interviews of eyewitnesses and materials near the fire. The Loveland police authority supported the Sheriff's office in the investigation.
