Road and bridge work was highlighted at the Grant County Fiscal Court meeting on April 15th.
As a judge/executive Chuck Dills for the routine approval of “claims on the general fund, road find and prison funds as well as all transfers of April 15, 2025” asked that District 1 judge Jacqualynn Riley and District, judge Shawna Coldiron, where -Magistrat against are on.
When asked why, said Humphrey: “I am not agreed with the interfund transmission to prison.” The fiscal activities were approved with the majority.
Bridge
According to Dills, the state engineers have met with the road department via bridges that need attention/replacement. The following three are replaced by iron grid bridges:
· The Fords Mill Road, built in 1969, may be rebuilt and “five feet” increased.
· Dry comb Mt. Zion is raised “a few feet, not quite five”.
· Clarks Bach is increased less than five feet.
Street
· Bullock Pen Drive was broken and replaced.
· According to Humphrey, the Schatme lane must be replaced by gravel edge and side paneling, since the sidewalk “breaks off the BlackPop”.
· The street department “cut trees and pressed potholes”. According to Dills, they have also improved “in recent years” on dead ends on the dead end.
He reported that a passage “at the end of the Osborne Road” was installed and BlackPop was added to create a turnaround.
Dates
· Dr. Jonathan Rich, DMD, was trained on July 1 to the health authority of the Nordkentucky District of Health. The term of office expires on June 30, 2027. Unanimous approval.
· Jennifer Humphrey, Rn, was appointed to the health authority Grant County on December 31, 2026. The appointment received a unanimous approval with the exception of Roger Humphrey, which contained due to her family member.
· Andrew Powers was appointed seasonal worker by Grant County Parks on April 6th due to a vacant job of the seasonal employees. Unanimous approval.
Different
· Resolution 2025-03 for approval of the County Road Aid Cooperative Program Agreement. The approval includes permission to sign this agreement for the district. The annual approval is to prepare the upcoming budget process.
· Coldiron took part in the first meeting of the Satd (Grant County “package for the Taxing District District (Satd). She will take part in a special Caucus meeting of these committees on April 16. On April 30, there should be a decision on how the SATD is going on, regardless of whether you have a private person in the DRIDGGE -Fire brigade or create your own ambulance service.
· The transfer of $ 55,000 was carried out by the general fund to prison funds in order to cover a potential short decline in the salary statement. This transfer will not be made if the funds enter into the corrections in good time to cover the salary statement.
