“This is an outlier. Last year we had a lot of damage here in Westmoreland County due to the Tornado at the end of June. This is quite comparable,” said Logan Brinko from Brinko Tree Service.
Brinko was in a house on the McClellan Drive in Greensburg, where a tree cracked on a neighboring property and fell into a house.

Andrew Havranek from Channel 11 spoke to the homeowner outside the camera. He said he and his family were inside when the tree hit, but they are all right.
“This is wonderful,” said Bill Humes, a neighbor. “I mean, just think what would have happened if it had been otherwise. It would have been terrible.”
The house on the McClellan Drive is only one of dozens of Brinko houses said that his family's company is working to clarify trees after the storm on Tuesday.
“We had about a dozen last night. We woke up this morning and dubbed it easily,” said Brinko. “I would actively say that we have over 30 to 40 trees actively in houses. We have a lot of crews to get these trees out of the houses.”
The process to extinguish a massive tree like this from a house can take some time. Brinko said
“Fortunately, we were able to set up the crane very close in this situation,” said Brinko. “The closer the crane is, the stronger and more capacity for which it is good.”
When a tree falls on its house during a storm, Brinko said a tree removal and roof company as soon as possible.
You can also work while you also process your insurance claim.
The entire process can cost a lot of money depending on the situation.
“Between the tree removal and the roofers, if there is a water reduction company and restoration company that have to repair the house, I would say that there are tens of thousands of dollars,” said Brinko.
And the best way to avoid these costs and damage, be it to manage trees before a storm can break it.
It is advice that some neighbors say that they will take.
“I will go home and cut a few trees,” said Humes.
