Mayville continues the clean -up and restoration efforts after the Tornado damage

Mayville (WLUK) – At the beginning of Saturday, this did more clean -up work in Mayville even after the storm on Thursday evening. Work in the past few days to restore electricity, to remove rubble and clear roads.

Randy Clark came out with his family to clean up a local park.

“I never really know what you have here until you get a situation like this. The turnout became phenomenal,” said Clark. “The students had in front of the school on Friday, they all voluntarily reported and helped all over the community to pick up the pieces, tidy up the rubble. The city had a great answer, the school district entered to help with things.”

Clark is the President of the Mayville School Board and said it was great when students strike.

“Just see how the students deal with the clean -up work of the community and all contract to help each other, it's really a warm feeling.”

The residents of Mayville also received a first hand on site who helped to clarify a fallen garage.

“It feels good because we are obviously a restoration company, we are always around the clock.” said Esmeralda Torres with the first on site. “We are on site first, we usually always come out here whenever, at any time. It feels really good to help people.”

According to Deofilo Ozorio, the first on site helped with the clearing of several damaged buildings in Mayville.

“We try to keep everything clean and safe and keep everyone away from all the damage so that security first,” said Ozorio.

Clark says that Alliant Energy worked around the clock to restore the power supply of those affected.

“You are in the last area of ​​the city that needed electricity and still restored, but we come home to get everyone back up,” said Clark.
