Carthage, Mon – The Carthage Community Foundation is pleased to announce that eight local organizations in Ruth I. Kolpin Family Fund have received a total of 110,926 US dollars, a non -profit fund that has been set up meaningful projects that benefit the Carthage and the surrounding communities.

The foundation, together with representatives of Ruth I. Kolpin Family Fund – Lon Peterson Sr. and Ron Peterson Jr. – shortened these effective investments with a grant -lunch on May 16, in which the recipients of 2025 were officially honored and recognized.

2025 Ruth I. Kolpin Family Fund Grants:

Kansas City University – KCU Community smiles: 25,000 US dollars to support access to oral health care for under -sized population groups in the Joplin region.

Mercy Health Foundation Southwest Missouri/Kansas -Refreshment for pediatric physiotherapy (PPTR): Keep PT access for children in Carthage: 25,000 US dollars to update the pediatric physiotherapy rooms and equipment and ensure that further access is ensured for local children.

Carthage historical conservation -Phelps house residualization: $ 7,060 for the repair and restoration of the veranda, the Porte-Cochere ceiling, the SOĈ°ITs, the fascia and the window cladding on the first floor of the historical Phelps house.

Boot Court Foundation -Motel conservation project: 20,000 US dollars to support the continued maintenance work at the iconic boat court Motel, a landmark of Carthage history.

Catholic schools in the Joplin region -Technology infrastructure -Update: $ 17,216 to modernize infrastructure and the update of servers, improvement in educational technology and learning environments.

American Red Cross – Financial aid for disasters: 7,000 US dollars for direct financial relief for families affected by local disasters.

Vision Carthago -2025 Athena Leadership Award: 1,650 US dollars to support the annual award, which recognized extraordinary female managers in the Carthage community.

Economic Security Corporation of Southwest Area -Community Action Ride System (CARS): $ 7,000 to improve access to transport companies for individuals and families with low incomes by expanding community driving services.

The Ruth I. Kolpin Family Fund, which was managed by the Carthage Community Foundation, a subsidiary of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, honors Ruth I. Kolpin's legacy by supporting projects that promote education, health, maintenance and bourgeois management.

Grants from this fund are to be sustainably influenced by thoughtful and strategic donations on Carthage and the surrounding area.
