The transition from New York to a single fiscal intermediary for his self-directed home care program has shifted again.
On Tuesday, a federal judge extended the deadline for the nursing staff in order to complete the registration at public Partnerships LLC (PPL) by June 20. PPL is the selected individual fiscal mediator of the US Health Ministry for the Consumer Diactected Personal Assistance Program (CDPap Deecter Deecter Demelt output).
The new delay takes place days after the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and the Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP law firm, which was proposed to a pre-movement letter to the Senior United States District-Richter Frederic Block, to prolong the registration period to August 15.
“We are grateful that Richter Block extended the injunction for another two weeks to determine whether we can achieve an agreement with the state and present the court to the court,” monitors Elizabeth Jois, who supervises the lawyer in New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) of special fighting and lawyer in a collective plague submitted in March. “The conclusion here is that there are still many people who are not enrolled with PPL, many personal assistants who are not on board, and many personal assistants who are not paid properly.”
“We need the state to use all of its resources to fix these problems,” continued Jois.
During the expansion, both sides of the class action lawsuit, which were submitted by NYLAG and Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler against the Ministry of Health, are negotiated according to Nylag.
The pre-movement letter also suggested that the Ministry of Health and PPL “dramatically” expand access to PPL sub-entrepreneurs who offer consumers and personal assistants who have difficulty paying through the new program.
Nurses and representative groups have confirmed that direct nursing workers from PPL have not been compensated.
Originally, the nurses had to register with Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) by April 1. The deadline was extended until April 30, and the subsequent senior United States District judge Frederic Block gave a temporary injunction that prevented the Ministry of Health enforced its revision of the CDPap.
