Inola, Okla – homeowners could possibly have an enormous increase in air conditioning climate systems this summer.
The people in the A/C industry have contacted 2 messages about some refrigerant lack of supply and the effects on their wallet.
Operations Manager for Cool Enterprises Inc, Brandon Hill, explained the importance of refrigerants for the management of air conditioning.
“Without this chemical in your air conditioning system, your air conditioning will not cool your house,” he said. “You won't heat your house in winter.”
According to Hill, the refrigerant types, which were approved by the states from January 1, 2025 in the United States, are 454b and R32.
He said that the refrigerant 454 was extremely difficult to find and forced his company to pay much more than usual for everyone you can find.
“Now the brakes were put on and we cannot get that we can still get 32 here and there, but the 454, stuff is pretty much gold,” he said. “If you get it, you will pay it expensive for it.”

Hill said that in the long run, this deficiency will affect everyone what he and many others are concerned about in the air conditioning.
“If you increase the prices for us, we obviously have to transfer this to customers,” he said. “If it were a small jump, our company would eat these prices to keep these prices to the customer so that they no longer pay,” he said. “However, we speak four and five times, and we talk about hundreds of dollars up to now thousands of dollars per pound of refrigerant. And it will continue to deteriorate.”
While he knows that the industry is exposed to some obstacles, Hill said he wanted to make sure that customers remain safe from potential financial risks.
“Some of the guarantees that have to be discussed is when you let someone get out and have determined this new system with problems if you have determined that you should check your HLK people when you work there when you work on it,” he said. “Make sure you use the right refrigerants.”
According to Hill, refrigerants are not regarded as “parts” of a unit, which means that they are not covered under a guarantee.
For this reason, it can lead to more problems if the false refrigerant is used for an A/C system.
“They test that and go:” Hey, that was a 410 in a 454 unit. There is the possibility that you could say that we have no guarantee, “he said.” Now you have to buy a compressor of two or 3,000 US dollars, and only one chaos will create more and less in the course of summer. “
Ultimately, Hill and others hope that this supply problem is solved so that everyone can enjoy their summer.
