Restoration plan for important Bicester movement building

Bicester application has submitted plans to restore and regenerate office buildings that go back to almost 100 years.

Buildings 146 and 147, which were opened in 1926 as a station offices on the Gateway to today's technical location, which has decreased in recent years, is converted in 9,536 square feet of the modern work area of the headquarters, which was specially developed for automotive and aviation brands.

The two -story brick structures were originally the block of RAF Bicester and acted as the RAF station's work office in which the daily administration was carried out.

The buildings showed themselves in 1965 on the tour of Queen Elizabeth II by RAF Bicester, an event that was celebrated in April 60 years at Bicester Motion's Scramble event.

Industrial materials and characteristics are used in accordance with the rest of the Bicester Motion technical location.

Daniel Geoghegan, Managing Director of Bicester Motion, said: “As with all our investments in the restoration of the former RAF buildings on site, 146/147 have been decayed and require renovation and renovation in order to keep the existing outdoor tissue sensitive and to provide an improved business inheritance.

“If we continue to attract a flourishing community of pioneering automotive and aviation brands, our proposed restoration will answer the demand of companies for flexible, extraordinary and contemporary HQ room in a prominent position in our estate.”
