Do you need a tool for a DIY project? The Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity Restore in the Third Street in Bend will soon have a new loan library with tools and resources.

The non -profit exertion is called Central Oregon Tool Library or Cotool and is to start the parking lot of Bend's restoration on September 5, which is a second -hand business for building materials and house improvements.

The tool library is designed in such a way that community members have access to tools for repairs, garden and DIY projects at home, regardless of income.

Cotool is the creation of Tony Grzesik, Peter Loverso and John Heylin, who brought their own experiences with tool libraries and were brought together by Kavi Chokshi, the Rethink Waste Program Manager in the Environmental Center.

The finding of the effort of the tool loan in Bend – Restry – known for the fact that it keeps almost 3 million pounds usable from landfills annually – underlines the commitment of the project to reuse and environmental responsibility, according to the organizers. Cotool offers a wide range of tools, from power exercises to garden scissors that are borrowed from a library like books.

It is planned to enable yourself with a habitat in the organization of workshops and the provision of DIY formation to promote the structure and independence for the skills.
