The star of Los Angeles Angels, Mike Trout, finally hit in Seattle on Thursday evening and ended a career that ended a homerless 28-game village that gave him shy to reach 400 for his career.
Trout started his 399th Homer and sent a 3-2 fasting from Mariners Right-Hander Bryce Miller over the left wall in the middle to connect the score in the fifth inning at 4. Seattle won 7-6 in 12 Innerings.
It was Trouts 21. Homer of the season and his first since August 6, a period of 125 record appearances. Trout admitted that reaching the 400 Homer milestone in August was in his thoughts.
“I thought about it a bit at the beginning,” said Trout, a three-time al-MVP and 11 times all-star. “But now I'm just trying to bring good swings into the ball. I know that it will come. I'm not trying to go up there and hit a Homerun. My whole career is to put only good fluctuations on balls and you went over the fence.”
Homer on Thursday evening was the 56th of Trout's career against the Mariners, four more than any other player against Seattle. He beats 58 RBIs .235 this season.
