Park Forest, IL – (Enewspf) – The village of Park Forest opens the waiting list for the second round of its program for repair and accessibility (HRAP). This program is financed by the Illinois Housing Development Authority. The aim is to help justified home owners with critical repairs, access improvements and roof replacement.
Interested residents have to submit their applications on October 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Village Hall based on the first apartment. Officials will not accept any fordrawal by email, email or acceptance, said civil servants.
The program, managed in cooperation with the reconstruction of Metro Chicago, offers forgiving loans. Homeowners can qualify for up to 25,000 US dollars for roof repairs or programs. In addition, you can receive up to 50,000 US dollars for complete rehabilitation or accessible projects. The forgiveness of the loans takes place depending on the project over a period of three to five years.
Preparations submitted by post, email or drop-off are not accepted, officials said.
Who is justified?
Objective applicants must own and occupy a single -family house in Park Forest, whereby the property is used as the main residence. The income restrictions apply, whereby the households, which earn in or below 50% of the middle income of the area, prefer. The overall authorization is limited to 80% of the average income.
The qualified projects include roof replacement and important repairs of homes such as sanitary, electrical or HLK work. Accessibility changes, including ramps, wider doors and bathroom security -upgrades, also qualify for financing. Inadequate projects can also be available for the owner employed rental properties.
“HRAP is about more than just repairs at home – it is about keeping Park Forest families. It focuses on protecting our housing stocks and ensuring that our residents can live safely and comfortably for the coming years,” said Andrew Brown, deputy director of economic development and planning.
The village organized an information care center in Village Hall on September 30th to exchange program details and the application process.
