Lotte Hotel & Resort will participate in the “Electronic Waste Collection Campaign” to implement resource circulation and strengthen sustainable management
From large household appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and televisions to small household appliances such as mobile phones, laptops, printers and vacuum cleaners, they must be disposed of through local authorities or specific companies.

Lotte Hotel & Resort recently conducted a campaign to collect waste electronic devices for its managers and employees, attracting attention. Through the campaign, which was carried out with E-Circular Governance for three weeks from September 1st, Lotte Hotel & Resort continued its activities to implement resource circulation.
In April 2024, Lotte Hotel & Resort signed a business agreement with E-Circulation Governance and is implementing a resource circulation project to recycle waste electrical and electronic equipment at all workplaces in Korea.
Last year alone, 40 tons of e-waste were recycled as new electrical and electronic raw materials using environmentally friendly processes, and the proceeds were donated to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation to contribute to the realization of social values.
The campaign, which involved managers and employees, voluntarily collected and donated electronic devices that were not used at home, collecting a total of 3.1 tons of electronic waste. Through a lottery, managers and employees were encouraged to participate by giving away various prizes such as the Lotte Hotel's New York Cheesecake and its toiletries.

“Small daily practices can lead to big changes in protecting the planet,” said an ESG employee at Lotte Hotel & Resort. “We will continue to create a culture of resource circulation with our employees and continue to prepare environmentally friendly activities to achieve carbon neutrality.”
Lotte Hotel & Resort was the only company in the industry to receive the Environment Minister's Award at the Modubium ESG Sharing Resource Circulation Practice Contest in January this year in recognition of its efforts in environmentally friendly management and resource circulation.
