Update: Strong winds cause power outage near Lincoln Park; More than 4,200 from Salmon Creek Ravine to Beverly Park

More than 4,200 homes were without power from Salmon Creek Ravine to Beverly Park as strong winds continued. Recovery was expected after 3 a.m.

Strong winds near Lincoln Park knocked out power to 117 homes east of Lincoln Park. Recovery was expected after 1 a.m. Sunday.

Gusts of up to 50 miles per hour were forecast, potentially knocking out more power lines.

The Wind Advisory remains in effect until 5 a.m. PDT Sunday…

* WHAT… Southwest winds gusting to 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 to 50 mph.

* WHERE…Parts of northwest and west-central Washington.

* WHEN…Until Sunday, 5am PDT.

* IMPACT…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree branches may fall and some power outages may occur.

* MORE DETAILS… Local wind gusts, particularly near persistent showers, may peak at 55 mph.
