WATCH MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FOR $5: Sling TV offers free daytime passes to various channels including ESPN, giving you 24/7 access to the ESPN-exclusive MNF stream. You can also upgrade the pass to a full weekend for $9.99 or a full week for $14.99.
The ongoing drama between Disney and YouTube TV interrupts the second straight week of Monday Night Football. As a Birds fan, this immediately came to mind when my family was looking for an alternative way to watch the Eagles vs. Packers game on November 10th. I've found a trick that doesn't require me to start a test of another live TV streaming service or go to a bar where the game will be on TV: a $4.99 Sling TV day pass for ESPN.
Sling TV offers short-term passes for a variety of channels in its Sling Orange package, from AMC, Lifetime and Freeform to ESPN, ESPN 2 and ESPN 3. You can pay $4.99 for 24-hour access, $9.99 for weekend access, or $14.99 for full week access. This wouldn't be cost-effective to keep up with on a regular basis, but it's a clutch option to tide over YouTube TV subscribers until it's (hopefully) able to bring back Disney-owned channels. A day pass requires you to create a Sling TV account, but no recurring payments are required.
What's new in streaming this week? (November 7, 2025)
Of course Disney hates this. The company sued Sling TV in late August when the short-term pass system was announced because Why Would we make it easy for viewers to watch one or two individual football games? In the meantime, temporary ESPN passes are still available on Sling's website.
YouTube TV offers subscribers $20 as a sort of inconvenience fee, which I guess is nice… but it still doesn't help sports fans who want to watch an important game on ESPN.
Combinable offers
A Sling TV Day Pass does not unlock NFL games on other days, as Thursday Night Football is exclusively on Prime and NFL Sundays fall under NBC and your local FOX broadcast zone. But temporary access to ESPN would unlock several NBA games throughout the week, in case you're sorely missing those too.
