The RRAP provides funds for exterior home improvements in the CRA District. The program is designed to support neighborhood revitalization, improve housing quality and help homeowners address basic maintenance needs. Eligible residents can receive up to $30,000 per property for qualified repairs, including roofing, window and door replacement, exterior painting and other structural or aesthetic improvements.
“The completion of this first project represents an important milestone in our effort to strengthen Apopka’s neighborhoods,” said Antranette Forbes, director of economic development. “This investment not only improves curb appeal, but also increases safety, sustainability and overall quality of life for residents. Roof and window improvements are particularly impactful – helping to protect homes during storm season and potentially reducing insurance costs.”
Launched on October 1, the RRAP represents a $900,000 commitment from the Apopka CRA to support the long-term stability and growth of the community. Additional projects are currently underway as the program continues to help homeowners make meaningful improvements throughout the redevelopment area.
The RRAP is consistent with the CRA's long-term recovery plan by promoting neighborhood stability, increasing property values, and supporting the City's broader mission of economic development and community revitalization.
