The Outdoor Rink (ODR) located next to the Ponoka Arena Complex (4410 54 St.) will open for the season tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4th at 10am
“Citizens will be able to put on their skates and enjoy the outdoor ice surface in the coming winter months,” a press release said.
Throughout the season, city crews will continue to maintain ODR by flooding and clearing snow from the ice surface as necessary.
Citizens can also enjoy the ODR in the evening as the outdoor lighting operates from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m
“The City Council has worked hard to get the ODR operational for the community and we are pleased to announce that the facility will open for the season tomorrow,” said Parks, Recreation and Facilities Manager Andrew Jones .
