Advanced equipment for a clean environment

The Prayagraj Mela Authority is making extensive preparations to ensure a clean and green environment for devotees, tourists and bathers from India and abroad who will visit Maha Kumbh 2025.

Advanced equipment will be provided before the start of the fair, with the cost of purchasing it estimated to be Rs 45-50 lakh. The equipment includes 10 hand-held sweepers and two battery-operated vacuum-type garbage collectors.

This initiative aims to not only maintain cleanliness at the Maha Kumbh but also provide a clean and green environment to all participants.

On the occasion of Maha Kumbh 2025, a compact manual sweeper will be deployed to clean the paved ghats, footpaths, roads and various public spaces within the exhibition grounds to enhance the comfort and experience of devotees, tourists and bathers from India and abroad . This environmentally friendly device works without fuel or electricity, helping to reduce environmental impact.

Its manual operation means it cleans effectively without stirring up dust, and its ergonomic design ensures comfort when using it. The machine's efficiency in street cleaning makes it easier to operate and maintain, allowing cleaners to complete their tasks more effectively while contributing to a cleaner, greener environment.

In addition, a battery-operated vacuum cleaner type garbage collector will be used at the exhibition center for efficient cleaning. This garbage collection machine is a battery-powered ride-on vacuum cleaner designed to collect trash and debris. Its compact size allows for easy operation in any part of the exhibition and ensures thorough cleaning of various surfaces.

Connected to a vehicle, this advanced, environmentally friendly device offers excellent mobility and eliminates the need for manual labor.

Its powerful vacuum function ensures quick and effective waste collection, while its long-lasting battery reduces environmental impact and CO2 emissions. The purchase of this cleaning equipment for the exhibition center is expected to cost around Rs 45 to 50 lakh, with the cost being borne by the Prayagraj Mela Authority.

Their purchase was approved at an authority board meeting.

Special Commissioner Mela, Akanksha Rana, said special attention would be paid to cleanliness as per the Prime Minister's instructions.

These state-of-the-art machines are being introduced to further empower the sanitation workforce. The equipment will be delivered before the start of the trade fair and the necessary training for the operation will be completed in a timely manner.
