FRANKLIN, Mass. – As the winter season unfolds, anticipation builds for another unforgettable summer at AYF Camp Haiastan. After a successful 2024 season, the camp is pleased to announce this 2025 sessionscelebrate a generous donation from the ARS Eastern Region and welcome a returning executive to the board.
We welcome Josh Tevekelian back to the board
Camp Haiastan of the Armenian Youth Federation Inc. is pleased to welcome Josh Tevekelian back to the board after a 12-year hiatus. A camper for six years, an employee for two years, and an active board member for over 15 years, Tevekelian is excited to return to “the most beautiful place in the world.”
Tevekelian brings decades of commitment and leadership to Camp Haiastan and the broader Armenian community. Tevekelian is based in the Boston area and has served in numerous capacities, including trustee of St. Stephen's Armenian Apostolic Church, past chairman and current trustee of the Armenian Cultural and Educational Center, and general manager of the Sayat Nova Dance Company of Boston. He also previously served as chairman of Camp Haiastan's board of directors. Tevekelian's return signals a renewed commitment to the camp's mission and its future growth.
Tevekelian holds a degree in finance and accounting from Northeastern University and has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. He lives in Boston with his wife Diana, their four-year-old daughter Aline and their Shih Tzu poodle Meli.
A generous donation for living comfort in the motorhome
AYF Camp Haiastan thanks the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) Eastern Region for their generous donation of $25,000 to fund new mattresses for campers and staff. This contribution highlights ARS's unwavering support for Armenian youth and ensures a more comfortable and enjoyable experience at Camp Haiastan.
Camp sessions and prices for 2025
AYF Camp Haiastan will offer various programs in 2025 tailored to campers of all ages and interests. The schedule includes two-week overnight sessions, a one-week overnight session and two weeks of day camp.
Overnight camp
- Teen session “Zartonk”: June 22nd – July 5th
- Session 1 “Mikaelian”: July 6th – July 19th
- Session 2 “Zavarian”: July 20th – August 2nd
- Session 3 “Zorian”: August 3rd – August 10th
Day camp
- Week 1 “Ararat”: June 23rd – June 27th
- Week 2 “Aragats”: August 4th – August 8th
Registration begins in January 2025. Families are encouraged to register early as sessions fill up quickly.
Personnel opportunities
Camp Haiastan is actively recruiting staff for 2025, including directors, department heads and support staff. The application period begins on December 20th. Choose to make a difference by joining the team involved in creating the camp magic.
