The leader of the opposition Jai Ram Thakur was now 10 km in the disaster regions of Thunag and Lambathach in the Mandi constituency in Mandi District's areas of Seraj, since the main roads in the region were also blocked five days after the triggering of a cloudburst and heavy rain.

While Thakur spoke to Media in Thunag, concern was about the delay in the restoration efforts. He said that the reopening of key roads should be a top priority and that the support of the border road organization (BRO) tries to accelerate the restoration work. “We warned the government on the first day before the condition of the streets. But five days after all the main routes remained inaccessible,” he added.
The former prime minister met with the families concerned and expanded his condolences to them. “Houses, shops, orchards, cattle sheds, everything was washed away. The pain of losing relatives is not repaired,” he added. He asked the state government to intensify the rescue efforts, especially to pursue missing people.
Thakur said he had written to the Interior Minister of the Union, Amit Shah, and the power minister of the Union, Manohar Lal Khattar, and applied for the maximum possible support for the people concerned in Himachal. He also inspected auxiliary warehouse and instructed the officials concerned to ensure that essential services such as electricity, water supply and roads.
Thakur held a meeting with the local administration in Thunag and instructed it to immediately release temporary aids after public anger about delays. Sdm Rajat Sethi accompanied Thakur.
According to Thakur, people who currently have protection in auxiliary lagers in the region, 130 in Thunadi, each 60 in Murhala and Kadoun, each 50 in Bharari and Sharan, 40 each in Surah and Pakhrair, 35 in Leh Thach, 30 in deji Jhundi, 25 in Jared, 20 in Lambathach, 15 in Kahl and five in Kahl and Kahl. He asked the authorities to ensure immediate provision of ration and essential, many of which are currently being transported by the army staff. He said that a bad communication system hindered the head of reaching the families affected in Seraj.
Later in the day, Minister for Public Works, Vikramaditya Singh, Thunag. Jai Ram Thakur accompanied him to evaluate the damage caused and informed him about the urgent needs of the region. The opposition leader thanked the army, the police, civil administration, social workers and the residents for their united efforts to support the communities made by disasters.
