Note from the publisher: The following was submitted by the Bubba Cagle campaign.

Bubba Cagle is a lifelong resident of Parrish with a deep love for his hometown and a proven record of leadership. Since taking office, Mayor Cagle has worked tirelessly to improve the infrastructure, strengthen the resources of the community and ensure that Parrish remains a place where families can thrive.

Build better roads and infrastructure

When Mayor Cagle ran for the first time, one of the main concerns of the citizens was the poor condition of the street streets. He made it a priority – and delivered it. Through the strategic use of the CDBG program (Community Development Block Grant), Parrish has secured over 700,000 US dollars for the repetition and repair of critical roads. From 2021 to 2024, these means contributed to exceeding the Shady Grove Road, the Edison Akins Street, New Baltimore Road (part), the Bank Street, White Street, the Hill Drive and the Third Avenue (part) again.

Including the scholarships ($ 700,000) and non-hostile financing ($ 200,000), over 2 miles of local roads have been improved. Mayor Cagle also worked with Commissioner Jim Borden to pave the Main Street for the first time in 30 years. With regard to the future, a new CDBG application of 400,000 US dollars was submitted to continue the paving steps in the streets of Cohn, Michael, Nichols, Loyd and Engle.

“The best investment on earth is not property, they are people. We are investing in a better quality of life for our people,” said Cagle.

Strengthen security and services

Public security is another priority for Mayor Cagle. In 2021, Parrish received 24,000 US dollars via the AEDC criminal proceedings and traffic safety subsidy, which bought body cameras and Taser for the police department – which improved the security, transparency and accountability obligation of the civil servants.

This administration has contributed to the fact that projects such as road improvements/paving, renovation work/repairs, cleanup and recovery improvements receive almost $ 1 million for the financing of road improvements and improvements in recreational system. Mayor Cagle personally wrote eight grants (six for 212,000 US dollars, two until approval).

Responsible financial management

Mayor Cagle inherited financial challenges, but quickly stabilized the future of Parrish. His administration has:

• Payment of $ 84,000 in IRS debts (before 2013) Removing real estate lien.

• Refinanced Splash Pad and old debts.

• Increased account balances of 150,000 to 840,000 US dollars.

• Invested in assets, including the purchase of a new town hall/ police station (former First National Bank) for 150,000 US dollars, garbage trolleys, tractor, lawnmowers, dumps and 40 acres for the city center for development.

This careful administration restored financial health and created growth opportunities.

Through grants and partnerships, Mayor Cagle on the old campus of the Parrish High School and the new town hall, including new HLK systems, glass doors, flooring, painting and roof repairs as well as renovated toilets, improved security systems and signs, monitored great improvements.
