In cooperation with the Total Restoration Kelowna, Castanet started the HOP for Hunger City-Wide Food Drive to support the Central Okanagan Food Bank during this Easter.
The residents of Kelowna are encouraged to donate urgently needed food and baby accessories, and in return the participants will win a festive Easter basket that is packed with goodies for the whole family.
The pick-up on the roadside will be included in the campaign on April 15 and 16.
'' We are so grateful for this spring food drive, which is taken over by the total restoration. You have been doing this for us for years. We are as grateful for people like you and organizations in the community who do this, ”said Trevor Moss, CEO of Central Okanagan Food Bank.
'' It is currently the slow time in such a critical period and in the months of May, June, July and August, in which we actually receive any food donations, and in the run -up to spring we thought the best for his best to carry out the types of food, “he added.
Moss says that it increases by 28 percent of the visits compared to the previous year.
The Hop for Hunger Food Drive aims to offer people a simple and contactless way.
The residents can register online and prepare their donations, which are picked up directly from their house or business by the entire restoration team.
All the participants have to do is a bag or box of your posts and place at the end of your entrance or your front door.
