Sheila Fields, Manager of Covington, said that recycling and disposal of electronic waste are properly achieved and economically sensible.

“We have to minimize waste and maximize resource efficiency by using components, products and materials as long as possible to promote an approach with a closed loop and to keep the material out of a landfill,” said Fields. “The restoration of the valuable materials and the reintegration into a production cycle not only creates jobs, but also contributes to maintaining resources.”

For the e-agreement, Kepton Beautiful with R2 Rios Certified Cohen, certified recyclers, which can contain computer devices, mobile phones and other related objects that can contain dangerous materials such as lead, cadmium and mercury. The polystyrene foam is processed by solid waste from Boone County and brought to Eco development, where it is further processed and processed into new usable products.

Shred-IT® will be available to collect paper documents that are to be shredded and offers a necessary service for people who are worried about identity theft, said Fields.

Many types of paper and paper products can be thrown into the carts used in the city's curb program.
