Clean the sky - positive eco trends and breakthroughs

In Kelowna, hemp houses in Kelowna are reality, since Wallen, the largest master community in the city, presents one of the first houses British Columbia, which was built with this environmentally friendly material. It was developed for maximum energy efficiency and corresponds to the highest sustainability standards of British Columbia. In addition, the residents will “enjoy a picturesque location near hiking trails with a view of the lake, just a short trip from the city center of Kelowna, UBC Okanagan and the airport”.

Hempalization is a sustainable, carbon negative material that increases energy efficiency, reduces the noise and improves the air quality indoors. It is also free of allergens and harmful chemicals, it offers a healthier alternative to traditional insulation. The houses have “a solar optimized roof, an airtight construction and a highly efficient heating and cooling system with heat pump and gas oven backup”. In the meantime, a heat pump heat water will continue to reduce the energy costs, and the pre-wiring for loading electric vehicles supports a greener lifestyle.
