Fatal single car accident in Crook County claims the life of the Prineville woman

Prineville, ore. (KTVZ) – On Monday morning shortly before 9:00 a.m., the Crook County and Ems from Crook County Fire and Rescue reacted to a car accident in Southwest Prineville at SW George Millican Road.

When the first aiders arrived, they found that the driver had been ejected from the vehicle and had died. Officials identified the driver from Prineville as a 43-year-old Rosellyn Thayer.

After a preliminary investigation, the officials found that Thayer had traveled to the oncoming Lane for unknown reasons. After turning Thayer into the oncoming track, he drove onto the gravel shoulder before returning to the sidewalk over the northern lane and rolled onto the east shoulder.

Officials believe that Thayer was emitted out of their vehicle during one of the numerous cases in which their vehicle rolled out. Thayer was the only resident of her vehicle and there were no other vehicles involved.

The SW George Millican Road was closed to examine the crash about an hour, with a trace finally opened while the examination continued.

Officials currently provide no further information.
