Building on the success of previous initiatives, the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2025 has continued to prioritize the CO2 footprint of the event.
The eighth edition of the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2025 and the fourth time in Singapore in Singapore, which was completed last weekend in the Singapore Sport Hub, continued to work after the offer of sustainability and set new standards for the fastest growing urban team sport in the world.
Building on the success of earlier initiatives, the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2025 continued to prioritize the CO2 footprint of the event and demonstrated a number of environmentally friendly initiatives for players and fans.
In this year's event, 100% of fans used public transport to reach the event location. Preloaded EZ-Link cards were spent on trainers, national associations, players, volunteers, officials and media almost 1,000. This initiative significantly reduced the dependence on private vehicles and minimized CO2 emissions, proof of the commitment of the event to reduce CO2 footprint.

At the OCBC Square from Singapore Sport Hub, on which 7,000 spectators create an electrifying urban festival atmosphere in the five days of the competition, water dispensers were placed over the location to prevent the use of plastic bottles of individual use. In the meantime, LED boards were used on the field to minimize energy consumption. Food Court offered sustainable food options and prioritized food from the region, which are served in biodegradable goods, which reduced the transport emissions and the CO2 footprint.
The key to the success of this year's Fiba 3×3 Asia Cup 2025 was the collaboration with local partners. Kasm worked with Rextore, a company based in Singapore that specializes in environmentally friendly and reusable materials. REXTORES Innovative Staxx modular block system made of ocean-bound plastic was used to build part of the viewer seats, the mixed zone and the lounge furniture. In addition, these materials were equipped with a previous tennis event from goods.
In March, FIBA maintained its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 20121 for a third year in a row and intensified his commitment to organizing sustainable 3×3 basketball events.
