Firebirds defends Fike 4: 1

Sophomore Grayden Murray gave a sharp hill debut for his Southern Nash Varsity Baseball team on Tuesday in a 4-1 win against Fike against Fike.

Murray allowed a deserved run with two goals and three walks while scored eight out of five innings. Senior Landon Brown hurled two perfect innings of the relief for rescue.

Senior Spencer Bass became the hill loss for Fike of the 3-A Quad County Conference.

Maddox Deans knocked two runs for the 3-A-Firebirds of the 2-A/3-A Big East conference, while Junior Luke Faulkner was 2 for Southern Nash. Sophomore Isaiah Battle also drove in one run.

Senior Evan Ferrell and the second Landon Cuddington each had a single for Fike, which plays on Wednesday in 2-A rabbits of Big East. The Firebirds accommodate East Wake des Quad County.

Ladybirds Swat Falcons 14-1

In the first game for both teams on Tuesday, Pikeville-Southern set up an impressive offensive display in a 14: 1 route from Host CB Aycock.

The 3-a-marienbügel of the 2-A/3-A-Big East conference achieved six runs in the second inning to climb 7-0, and their five runs in the sixth game hurried to the end of the game about the merciful rule. The 3-A Quad County Conference Golden Falcons achieved its run in the third.

Senior First Baseman Savanna Baines had four 20 goals from Southern Nash, while Noel Dobbins, Kaylie Love, Carlee Beckham, Kelsey Jones, Makayla Weeks and Paisley Baker each had several goals. Dobbins turned a Homerun with two runs as part of the second inning climb, while Beckham made a solo shot in the sixth.

Senior Anna Dickinson went all six innings in the Pitching Circle and hit 12.

Southern Nash will visit West Johnston on Thursday.
