For Costa Rica, the bank proposes 41 million US dollars of sustainable development

Capital Corp Merchant Banking has submitted an investment proposal in Costa Rica for a master-planned development of $ 41 million.

The proposed environmentally friendly development includes residences, hotel accommodations and boutique business.

According to the bank, Costa Rica's luxury property market lists “robust dynamics”, whereby the property values in the first -class coastal regions will increase by up to 8 percent in 2025, which is due to the demand from the US, Canadians and the European buyer. Foreign investors now make up almost 40 percent of all real estate transactions in the country.

The Lamangata Luxury Surf Resort was opened in Costa Rica last month, and the persecution of attractions only spent 111 million US dollars for the acquisition of the Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa. In May, Marriott International signed an agreement with Solana PA, SRL to debut the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts brand in Costa Rica. The development is scheduled to open in early 2027.

The luxury sector remains remarkably resilient worldwide. The turnover of high-end homes in the USA rose by 5.2 percent in early 2024, with the average prices for first-class real estate rose by 14.2 percent compared to the previous year. While the market is stabilizing, buyers are looking for value, quality of life and ecological responsibility in their investments.

Since net-zero mandates and Leed certification dominate the construction in 2025, this development will promote carbon negative, the infrastructure with high seismic performance and the landscape design of biodiverses.
