The technology has changed the hospitality with AI-driven guest service, seamless digital bookings and intelligent hotel solutions.
The deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Viliame Gavoka, opened the National Hospitality Conference 2025, emphasized how important it is to keep up with these quick progress in order to remain competitive in the industry.
Gavoka says that Fiji has to use intelligent tourism solutions that increase efficiency without affecting human connection.
“The technology should improve the real warmth of the Fijian hospitality and not replace – our guests enjoy both innovation and authenticity. If we are innovative, we also have to prioritize sustainability, and it is important that economic progress corresponds to environmental responsibility.”

He asked all interest groups to examine environmentally friendly technologies, be it through energy -efficient systems, the elimination of plastics from individual use or the support of sustainable supply chains.
