A large part of the employees of Gen Z and Millennial has announced that clean air quality in the interior clearing in their work areas is important. September 16, 2025
The Covid 19 pandemic and forest fires have changed the way we live our lives. Telefone send air quality notifications and seasonal colds are taken a little more seriously. What was once a strange smell is now being inspected immediately. People take care of the rooms they occupy and how these rooms affect their general health.
According to the report on the air perception of 2025 GPS Air Indoor Air, 66 percent of the Americans have been more careful in the air quality inside, while 70 percent said that forest fires, pollution and other recent events made them more conscious, which they breathe. People want to trust them to breathe clean air. The study showed that 65 percent of the respondents believe that companies should have air values publicly. In addition, 78 percent stated that visible Clean Air efforts would make them more comfortable in rooms such as airports or offices.
Although many Americans have growing concerns about air quality in the interiors, most do not necessarily understand how it is managed. Instead, give up opinions about where you are safe and do not feel safe. According to the report, 56 percent of those surveyed stated that the trust of air in their own houses is more than in common rooms such as offices. Only 9 percent of the respondents believe that public spaces have better systems.
This is particularly worrying because company officials continue to drive the guidelines for returning to Office. According to the report, 40 percent of the respondents believe that companies carry out the legally prescribed minimum in order to maintain the air quality indoors. Only 24 percent stated that companies actively filter and monitor the air, while 12 percent suspect that companies only take measures if someone complains.
The recent generations of employees take their health the most serious. According to the International Day of Clean Air Survey 2025, 68 percent of the millennials and gene cerse are concerned about the long-term effects of poor air quality indoors more than twice the rate of older workers, with only 28 percent affected. Over 40 percent of the respondents of all generations stated that they leave their current employer due to the poor air quality. Nevertheless, Z and Millennials are most likely with 50 percent and 40 percent compared to 34 percent of the gene Xers.
According to the report, all generations are of the opinion that the clean air quality in the interior clears improves their work performance. However, only 61 percent believe that their employers take the steps to ensure quality. A majority of respondents (78 percent) said it is important that employers are transparent in terms of air quality within the building. When asked that the respondents said that the following would increase their trust in the air quality of their workplace:
- Install air purification units (49 percent)
- Update the HLK system (45 percent)
- Visible use of IAQ monitors (36 percent)
- Access to real-time-IQ data (36 percent)
The most preferred agents for the exchange of clear air data are periodic communication (36 percent), digital dashboard in the public area of the office (27 percent) or displayed in any room (26 percent). In the meantime, Z and Millennial respondents have taken the improvement in air quality in their own hands. According to the report, 59 percent of young workers will bring in their own air purifier, open a window or add plants as required.
