NEW YORK – Whether you're watching the Times Square ball on television or in person at midnight ringing in 2025, know that the 2,688 glass tiles glittering at One Times Square are right in Port Jervis Gillinder Glass were designed and manufactured.
The triangular glass tiles adorn the six-ton sphere with its 32,256 LED lights, creating a dazzling display for millions of people around the world.
“As a company with over 160 years of history, it is an honor to showcase true American craftsmanship on such a prominent stage,” said Jim Jones, President of Gillinder Glass.
The New Year's Eve Ball has been a tradition since it was founded in 1907.
Over the years, the ball has undergone seven transformations, each reflecting technological and artistic advances.
