Habitat for humanity Niagara
***********************
Habitat for Humanity Niagara is thrilled, the 10th anniversary of his fonthill recovery with a special one-week sale from April 14th to 19th (the shop is well closed on Friday) including door prices, daily specials and much more to celebrate!
This milestone marks a decade of the effects on the community, sustainability and affordable support for home ownership.
Habitat Niagara operates three restoration in the region and accepts and sells brand new and gently used budget improvement items to a fraction of retail prices to the public and you will not pay taxes! These shops are not only shopping destinations, but also recycling hubs for electronic waste, scrap metal, batteries and more. Through strategic partnerships, the restoration has developed into one of the largest recycling centers in Niagara.
The fonthlille recovery on 2499 HWY 20 in Thorold opened its doors for the first time in April 2015. In the past 10 years, it has developed from the sale of domestic renovation materials to offer a large selection of home decoration, devices, tools, vintage and modern furniture and even brand new clothing. Thanks to the generous community dispenser, local companies and national partnerships, every visit is a new adventure.
Since its opening, the proceeds from the Fonthill recovery have contributed to the construction of 37 houses in the entire region and directly changed the life of 37 families and 138 children. In the past three years, nine houses have been built in Thorold alone that affect 23 children and their families by providing them with stable and affordable home ownership.
“What a caring community we have,” said Jodi Krah, Fonthill Restore Manager. “I am happy to say that the Fonthill business has volunteers, donors and customers who have been open with us since the day we have opened. Due to their commitment and support, we have grown beyond what we thought is possible. This growth has translated into more families to be at home. What a big result!”
The restoration of habitats plays a crucial role in environmental compatibility by giving new life for gently used objects. It is also a valuable resource for the municipality to donate gently used furniture, devices, renovation materials and household goods – and to keep these items away from the landfill.
In the past ten years, the Fonthill recovery has distracted tons of waste from landfills. In 2024 alone, the business successfully derived over £ 105,000 of local landfills. As a recognized recycling center, the restoration ensures responsible disposal of objects such as metal, electronics, batteries, textiles and color.
Habitat Niagara Restores are occupied by a dedicated team, including almost two hundred volunteers. Through their commitment, the members of the community gain valuable skills, build relationships and contribute to the mission for Habitat for Humanity. Fonthill recovery also offers employment opportunities for local youth and co-op positions and offers practical experience in areas such as donor relationships, storage, merchandising, customer service and electronic tests.
Recovery is an estimated resource for inexpensive materials for house improvement and more. Buyers find devices, washbasins, building materials, lighting, branded clothing, furniture, unique antiques and even kitchen cupboards.
Are you thinking about renovating your kitchen? Contact the recovery! Your committed Salvage team will remove your old kitchen and other reusable items for free – and save time and money. You will also receive a tax burden as soon as your items are sold.
Buy, donate, register voluntarily and celebrate 10 incredible years of fonthill recovery by visiting the shop from April 14th to 19th to get exclusive sales, advertising campaigns and special events. Every purchase and every donation help families in Niagara to build a better future.
