Memphis, Tenn.-HLK problems are still a problem for Memphis-Shelby County Schools.
When lessons started this Monday morning, the Sherwood Middle School had a problem with its cooler.
This happens days after the MSCS executives had addressed concerns about the HLK systems.
At this time last year, the HLK problems forced the Treadwell Middle School and Douglass High School at an early stage.
MSCs reacts to the latest problems, concerns at several schools
It is a new school year and there is a problem. However, MSCs says that it is not at the same level as before.
On Monday morning, the students and employees of the Sherwood Middle School crowded into the gym, while his civil engineer claimed a problem with the school's cooler.
“These systems are old. Everyone knows that these are not the news. The systems are old in our buildings and they work as hard as possible. Our civil engineers report when we have down classrooms, and our technicians they reach immediately to ensure that our students and employees are safe and convenient,” said Michelle Stuart, MSCS Facilities, Michelle Stuart.
MSCS says that Sherwood Middes Chiller was fixed around 7:30 a.m.; A teacher who wants to stay anonymous said Wreg that the situation was chaotic, and it took a while for the classrooms to cool off.
Student has a medical emergency that has no HLK problems: MSCs
The incident was carried out only a few days after the MSCS leaders gave concerns after four classrooms at the Central High School HLK problems.
According to the school district's facility officer, there were minor interruptions with reports on temperatures that were between 75 and 76 degrees.
District manager say that the extreme heat in Memphis also plays a role.
“Every day can give classrooms in any number of schools that are reported. It is very hot outside. We had a little temperature participation, but they are currently climbing,” said Stuart.
