Noida: The 59th Indian Craftsmanship And Gifts (IHGF) Delhi Fair began on Wednesday at the India Expo Center, Greater Noida, with over 2,000 exhibitors who present Home Decor and Handicrafts. The Minister of the Union Textile, Giriraj Singh, who was the main guest on the first day, emphasized India's strong position in traditional craft and provided the potential to dominate 80% of the market.
The four-day B2B event has attracted more than 70 international buyers from countries, including Great Britain, USA, Germany and Canada. The fair runs until April 19.
Singh was concerned about US tariffs, which granted the support of the government through bilateral discussions and encouraged exporters to explore new markets through FTAs. He emphasized a global shift in the direction of sustainability and environmentally friendly production and emphasized the support of the government for the craft sector through infrastructure development, financial help, design and digital public relations.
