Industry leaders from all over the country gathered in Regina, SASK.

The 22nd The annual national awards from Landscape Excellence (NALE) have brought together more than 100 industry members from all over Canada, which represents the entire spectrum of horticultural transactions.

The Nale recognizes Canadian companies that have made excellent contributions to increasing professionalism in the landscape industry.

Each province takes winners from its Provincial Awards of Excellence to compete nationally, with up to three entries per category, 15 entries per club, in five categories: commercial landscaping, housing construction, housing landscape, maintenance of the living landscape and landscape design.

This year's winners are:

  • Caterpillar Award for commercial landscaping

Rutherford contracting for Innisfil Town Square Development, Innisfil, Ont.

  • Caterpillar Award for Housing Landschafts Construction

Swick's landscape design for Connaugh Manor, Shayghnessy Estate, Vancouver.
● Intrigue Media Award for Landscape Design

Gärmee Gardens for the Retreat Garden Phase 1, Stirling, Ont.

  • Hortprotect Award for the maintenance of living landscapes

The pioneering group for alpine reflections, Thornbury, ont.
● Home Depot Award for commercial landscape maintenance

Land Tec Landscape Contractors for Uline Edmonton.

  • Excellent performance – Green Innovation

Clintar from London for the implementation of 100 percent battery-operated vehicles and tools for maintenance on the Canada Life site since 2017.

  • Outstanding services – consumption of plants

Swick's landscape design for the Shayghnessy Shade Garden in Vancouver, which thrives in various microclimas under a sophisticated tree baldachin.

  • Excellent performance – Landscape function

Vision capes for exquisite loneliness in the foothills in Calgary, Alta.

  • Caterpillar Green for Life Community Award

Summerside and Area Garden Club for the Prince County Hospital Healing Courtyard Garden, Summerside, Pei

Brookmill BLVD. Jr. Public School, School Authority of Toronto District, Scarborough, Ontario, for vegetable gardens that combine gardening, indigenous practices and training as a nutritional security.
