I rely on my phone for almost everything, from paying payments to checking my e -mails to the control of my smart home. Instead of repeating the same tedious but essential tasks every day, I have set up the automation so that my budget smartphone can do these tasks for me. I save time, energy and brain output, while tasks automatically take place in the background without notice.
To help you to be inspired and inspired, you will find five everyday tasks that I have automated on my cell phone.
Smart Light Controls
No longer manually switch on or off
Google Home Automation
I have set up a Google Assistant/Gemini routine in Google Home that controls the lights and the air conditioning in my office. When I enter my office, I say: “Hey Google, it's time to work.” Gemini switches on the standing light, the desk lamp and the wall lights. It also adapts the color temperature during the day and helps me to stay concentrated and vigilant.
At the end of the day, another automation, which is assigned to the keyword “at home”, switches off the lights. I wanted to trigger this automation using an NFC tag, but found that this would require too much effort. An alternative way is to use the home assistant, but I haven't set it up yet.
Automate the texts “on my way”
One thing less if you leave the house or the office
I usually write to my wife when I leave the work to let her know that I go home. I also write my fitness buddies when I go to the gym in the evening. I have set up automation in macrodroid to automate the sending of these texts. Since some variables are involved, the macro contains several conditions that must be met for the trigger of automation.
For example, the macro only writes my wife, whom I am on my way home when my phone is connected to the Bluetooth -Infotainment system of my car between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. The initial macro triggered when my phone was separated from the Wi-Fi network of the office during the time mentioned.
Over time, I realized that this was not ideal because my wife received a text when I stepped out of the office building in the evening. Similarly, my phone sends a text to my fitness buddies when I leave the house between 7 and 8 p.m. and let them know that I am on the way.

Switch on automatically in gallery apps
Turn automatic macro into macrodroid
I enjoy searching old photos and albums in the gallery of my phone or Google photos and clarifying the disorder and experiencing great memories. I usually switch to landscape orientation while I look at pictures for better experience.
Instead of automatically activating on my phone when I open the gallery or Google photo app, I have set up simple macrodroid automation to automatically implement when I open Google Photos or the standard gallery app. There is another automation setup to switch off the auto-rotate when I end these apps.
This simple automation helps considerably in everyday life, especially since I take photos at events. I often check such pictures right there. Manually activation automatic rotation when I open the gallery or the Google photos used to be a small but constant trouble. The macrodroid automation eliminates this friction.

Sleeping mode opens on an Android phone
The bedtime mode is an automation function in Android with which you can get out of bed before going to bed. I set up the bedtime mode to turn the screen of my phone into grayscale, always switch to the display and dim the background image before I go to sleep. It also enables not to disturb based on my bedtime plan and to ensure unwanted notifications and calls that do not interrupt my sleep.
Usually the bedtime mode switches off when I wake up in the morning. On days when I have to appear earlier, it deactivates at the time of my next alarm.
If you do not have a fixed schedule, you can set the sleep time mode to trigger if you have charged your phone in a specified period of time. If there is automation from this list, you must create the sleep time mode. It is integrated into the digital well -being of Google and supported in most Android phones.

In the part of the world in which I live, all user authentications require an OTP (unique password) that is delivered to the registered number. This creates a problem when a package arrives at home while I'm in a meeting or in the gym. My phone is either quiet, or I am unable to pick it up to the OTP and forward to my wife to accept the package. I also get at least four or five OTPS a day and I can't bother to forward her to my wife.
To solve this problem, I have set up automation in macrodroid, with which my Google News input input is scanned after texts with the word “OTP”. Then it forwards such texts to my wife's number. Initially, the automation OTPS only forwarded from certain numbers. As services that rose to identify on OTPS, I have changed the automation so that messages that contain the word “OTP” include.
A simple automation, but one that has saved me at least a few hundred thousand undesirable taps over the years. The disadvantage of this automation is that my wife is bombarded all day long with unwanted transaction -of -ends.
Let your phone work for you with automations
The automation of tasks on Android previously required a bit of technical know-how and specialist knowledge. This is no longer the case because the ecosystem has developed. Automation apps are easier to use and AI to help do everything.
While I can prefer to use macrodroid to create automation, you can use Tasker, automate or use one of the various other apps available in the Play Store. Even Google Home works if you only want to change the device settings or control media playback.
