"I'm glad not to have to throw it away"

The modern culture of normal consumerism normalizes the discarding of broken objects and replaces them with new ones. However, if you repair old items yourself, you can reduce the costs and at the same time reduce waste.

A proud pet owner demonstrated this fact in a post on the Subreddit R/Anticonumum, where they wrote about the repair they had made on the bed of their dog.

“Repaired a very worn dog bed and made a tailor -made sheet instead of buying a new one,” wrote the pet owner before shared photos of the repaired bed with his very sweet puppy.

The pet owner explained how their dog digs into the fabric, and because the beds are so badly made, the bed comes apart. Instead of throwing it out, the owner sewed it on before making an adapted leaf over it.

The repair or reuse of objects for other purposes can contribute significantly to reduce the costs at home and at the same time reduce the amount of waste that is sent on land. According to the Environment America, the United States throws 4.9 pounds of garbage per person every day, and the majority of it runs on landfill, where it generates harmful pollution and has poisonous chemicals into the environment.

After reducing, reusing, reusing and recycling, you can help minimize the amount of waste that is sent to landfills and also reduce the stuffed stuffs. Organizations like Trashie can be a good place to recycle clothing. There are also several other organizations such as Costco and Audi that help you dispose of old electronics.

The cloverlike of the pet owners was met by several commentators on admiration.

“Great idea !!! Your puppy also looks very satisfied with it,” wrote a commentator.

“I am glad not to have to throw it away,” replied the pet owner.
