Now that autumn is here – do not fall in love with autumn fraud. Jay Elliott with the Better Business Bureau's Rip -off® on WBBM has some tips.
When the leaves start to fall, fraudsters and inferior contractors are in full power and try to use homeowners to combat seasonal projects such as oven tests, roof cleaning, gauge repairs and much more.
These fraud is consistently one of the top ten with an average loss of $ 1,800 per incident.
Pay attention to high-pressure stands, unwanted emails, texts and calls and prices that seem too good to be true.
To protect yourself and your family, do your homework and do research before you hire them. Check the references and do not be fooled by the cheapest price.
