As a show of solidarity for the victims and hostages in Israel, the community is invited to join Chabad of the Berkshires in a joyful outdoor menorah lighting and celebration on the fifth evening of Hanukkah at 4:30 p.m. at Lilac Park.
The event includes music, hot latkes and donuts. Rabbi Levi Volovik of Chabad in the Berkshires stated: “When darkness falls upon this world, the giant menorah will be a shining symbol of the light over the darkness and the enduring spirit of the Jewish people.” Together we will light the fifth candle and ignite the spirit of unity and hope.”
The event is co-sponsored by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires and Haddad Auto Dealership of the Berkshires.
