The Marubeni Foundation (Chairman: Jun Horie; hereinafter “Marubeni Foundation”) will accept applications for the Marubeni Fileptions for Social Welfare Initiatives on a total of 300 million yen from May 1, 2025.

The Marubeni Foundation was founded in 1974 as a private social welfare grant subsidy organization, with contributions from the Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Marubeni”), and will remind this year of the 50th anniversary of its establishment. Since 1975, the Marubeni Foundation has continued to offer grants for institutions and organizations that deal with social welfare activities all over Japan, with a total of 3,044 social welfare initiatives and previously 5.25 billion yen.

The recipients of scholarship holders include a wide range of facilities and organizations that are busy with people with disabilities, children and adolescents and older people. Those who support people who rejected themselves socially and supported those who have confronted economic uncertainties; Children's cafeterias (facilities that offer children and others free of charge or at a reduced price); and initiatives to develop and improve local communities. Projects that lie outside the general scope of the state reach, the unique and pioneering projects, which are expected to affect the improvement of social well -being, and projects of organizations that are affected by natural disasters are actively selected, while the unique advantages of this fund of the private sector are used.

The financing of the Marubeni Foundation grants is mainly treated by a cooperative framework between individuals and Marubeni. The financing consists of financial contributions from Marubeni and income of asset management. Donations of individuals to the 100 Yen Club, a donation organization that consisted of Marubeni and Marubeni Group executives, employees and alumni, the donations of which then match Marubeni. and approval fees from the Marubeni gallery.
