Doctors of Maury Regional Health Medical Personnel use state -of -the -art technology to provide patients with stroke symptoms in the emergency room or inpatient unit.
For almost 10 years, nurses in the Medical Center have implemented a sophisticated telemedicine platform for stroke patients. When people with symptoms of a stroke that doctors for emergency and hospital doctors are present in the medical staff in the hospital, around the clock there are access to consultations from neurologists certified by the board in the Ascension Saint Thomas-System. This partnership enables critical support around the clock for patients who need a quick reaction. This helps doctors and the nursing team to determine the best procedure for accelerated treatment.
After a stroke, Maury offers regional health resources for patients and their families, including outpatient stroke rehabilitation of experienced physical, language and occupational therapists. The medical center also organizes a monthly line support group to exchange resources and education.
“Maury Regional Health always endeavors to implement new and innovative technology and care models in order to meet our vision, to be the trustworthy choice of southern Middle Tennesses for health care,” said Dr. Chaney. “I am deeply grateful for the team that offers our patients life -saving care when the time is of crucial importance.”
