National Trust urges visitors to Coughton Court to decorate roof tiles

Visitors are offered the opportunity to become part of the history of a Tudor country house by decorating the tiles used to restore the roof.

A £3.3 million repair project is currently underway at the 15th century Coughton Court near Alcester in Warwickshire.

Parts of the roof have been restored along with other maintenance work on the listed building, which the owner National Trust said was due to be completed in June.

As part of the project, the charity offers people the opportunity to decorate recycled roof tiles that are placed on the roof.
