Govee has announced the outdoor projector lights on its websites in the USA and the EU. This new product with model number H7073 seems to be based on the original outdoor projection (model H7070), which was published at the end of 2024. It is designed in such a way that it projects colored dynamic lighting effects onto the side of your house.
The upcoming outdoor projector lights were recently included in the US Coming brand and the EU. This new model should contain two light sources, like its predecessor. The teaser lists a “high brightness -aura pattern”, which imitate the lighting effects using the Northern Lights. However, it is unclear whether this new model will be brighter than the original. Clear laser patterns are also mentioned so that you can throw pictures on the side of your house. It should offer over 50 preset lighting effects to which users can access via the Govee Home app.
Govee suggests that it offers a large coverage area, although no precise measurement is provided. For the context, the original outdoor projector light is said to have a cover area of 255 m² (~ 2,745 ft²). Based on this description, it is unclear how the new model differs from its predecessor. However, a picture on Amazon (above) indicates a slightly different design with a blue ring around the first light source. In addition, submitting in the CSA database (Connectivity Standards Alliance) confirms that this device supports the matter protocol and enables integration with a variety of smart home ecosystems.
The new projector Lights for Govee Outdoor will be released in the USA on September 19 and on September 22nd. The price for this product still has to be announced. The original Govee Outdoor Projector Light has an RRP of $ 129.99 (Curr. 99.99 USD at Amazon with a voucher).
