The natural restoration company Nattergal has exciting plans for an old rice center in the heart of Nazing.
With 2 old forests and a selection of old hedges, the location will pursue a explosion of nature that recolonized the ecologically degraded extra agricultural fields when natural processes are restored.
About Harold's Park Wildland
Harold's Park Wildland becomes one of the leading nature in the region and is the third location Nattergal. The 206 hectare Green Belt location is penetrated in history and offers a fantastic view of the skyline in London. It is planned to convert the low productivity fields, intensive grassland and Christmas tree plantations into a wealth of biological diversity and wild animals.
Nattergal chose this area due to the unique combination of its history and the potential for the restoration of nature. They plan to return it to wooden pasture that are reminiscent of the old deer parks from 1,000 years ago.
Nature will be preserved in the early stages, but mostly nature will take the lead because the free old cattle, pigs and ponies re -installed and start the ecosystems.
Biodiversity Netto win (BNG)
Harolds Park Wildland will also be a Habitat bank in which developers can pay if they are unable to meet the necessary net profit of the biological diversity in its own locations, a victory for both nature and for apartments.
BNG was introduced by the Environmental Act 2021. The developers must ensure that new proposals have at least 10% improvement in biological diversity. Developers can buy BNG units outside the Nattergal location that must be registered in the government BNG register to ensure that developers meet their BNG obligations.
Ripe for reconstruction
Council member Ken Williamson, responsible for the design of our district in the Epping Forest District Council, said:
I am thrilled to announce the first Wildland location at the Epping Forest District in Harold's Park in Nazeking.
These are great news for the habitats of grass and forest land in Harold's Park with hotspots of life across the country. The page is ripe for reconstruction.
Habitat interventions have started, including the use of wildflower seeds and the beautiful green hay of locations that were managed by our own countrycare team.
The Epping Forest District Council now has a BNG Habitat Bank in the national register that supports our local strategies to relax Nature -and at the same time create and improve natural habitats.
